Election Integrity: Following Facebook’s Lead?

In recent years, Google, Facebook and Twitter have become the new Axis of Evil.

Consider this: Twitter accounts banished in the last few years were suddenly reinstated without any explanation. Curious timing. Musk was right: the current leadership at Twitter is the incarnation of Joseph Stalin. For those attending US Public schools and universities, Stalin was not a hero. Stalin was the leader of the old USSR, the communist Soviet Union, and was responsible for the death of an estimated 60 million people–2 million a year–or 40,000 a week while he was in power.

Depending on the outcome of the potential Musk purchase, there may be a move in the right direction regarding Twitter in that Facebook still relies on the subtle Stalin tactic: kill your opponents–all of them.

Recently, while establishing a c4 organization Facebook page, we had to go through the new “verification” process required by Facebook. This means: providing a valid driver’s ilcense, setting up a 2-step Verification (notices sent via text and email to your phone, etc.), and having a letter sent to your place of residence to verify you are who you say you are and to provide you a 5-digit code, so you can have the joy of logging back into “your” Facebook page to enter your authorization code in order to access “your” Facebook page.

But wait, there’s more.

If you want to run political ads, then you must show your papers — a signed affidavit, notarized, scanned — to Uncle Joe. For those of you under 35 years of age, “Uncle Joe” was the affectionate moniker given to the Mass Murderer Joseph Stalin by the western media. The communist-leaning western media was more than happy to accept payment for looking the other way as Stalin killed millions. (Side note: Isn’t it interesting that the media today bestowed the title Uncle Joe to our dearly beloved President, Joe Biden, whom they cover for in the same way they did for Stalin?)

Back to our story. Once “your” Facebook account is approved to run ads, good luck having “your” ads show up anywhere, because those of us who love freedom – freedom of religion, speech, assembly, petition, and press – those sorts of things –  will be shadow-banned, throttled down, censored, and de-platformed by the Marxists at Facebook. Effectively killed.

This tough ad process got me to thinking about integrity…Election Integrity. “Gee, Wally,” I wondered, “How would the Main Stream Media report on a proposed bill by Republicans in the US Congress called the “Facebook Election Day Integrity Act?”

The proposed election integrity bill could simply require what Facebook requires: A double authentication process, a post card mailed to your home with secret 5-digit code verifying your identity and residence, and a signed and notarized affidavit…before you can cast your vote.

Wally replied, “Beav, don’t be a Dodo. Don’t you remember Facebook ran our national election in 2020? They literally sent ballot mailboxes to certain ‘disadvantaged cities,’ — you know, Democrat run cities like Atlanta, Milwaukee, Detroit. Ballot boxes just sat there unmanned and required no identification process whatsoever.”

“Gee, Wally, how do you know all that stuff?”

“Well, Beav, I read good books. And besides, in high school, I had to learn how to think for myself.”

Here’s how the New York Post described Facebook’s electioneering:

“During the 2020 election, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg spent hundreds of millions of dollars to turn out likely Democratic voters. But this wasn’t traditional political spending. He funded a targeted, private takeover of government election operations by nominally nonpartisan — but demonstrably ideological — nonprofit organizations.

“Analysis conducted by our team demonstrates this money significantly increased Joe Biden’s vote margin in key swing states. In places like Georgia, where Biden won by 12,000 votes, and Arizona, where he won by 10,000, the spending likely put him over the top.

“This unprecedented merger of public election offices with private resources and personnel is an acute threat to our republic and should be the focus of electoral reform efforts moving forward.

“The 2020 election wasn’t stolen — it was likely bought by one of the world’s wealthiest and most powerful men pouring his money through legal loopholes….

“The amount of additional money these groups poured into elections offices in Democrat-voting areas was truly staggering. To put it in perspective, federal and state matching funds for COVID-19-related election expenses in 2020 totaled $479.5 million. The CTCL and CEIR money totaled $419.5 million.

“These two private nonprofits were responsible for an 85 percent increase in total additional election funding — and that largesse was concentrated in a relatively small number of heavily Democratic municipalities.”

At F Street Partners, we think election integrity is at least as important as social media integrity. Let’s require the same identification for voting as Twitter requires for tweeting.

The F Street Partners story

We have dedicated our lives to fundraising, we share a common faith, and we have fun together. And, it started on F Street. It’s that simple.

FUNDRAISING: Our task is to raise money. That’s what we do for our clients. We raise money through a combination of social media, outdoor advertising, email, direct mail, digital display ads, and major gifts. We also manage robocalls, press outreach, text-to-text, and rev-shares to name a few more.

Over the last three decades, we have evolved, learned, and kept pace with the new opportunities and challenges conservative and right of center organizations are facing, from de-platforming to censorship. Our clients, which are kept entirely confidential, have stayed with us on average 11 years. Three reasons why: 1. we’re really good at raising money; 2. we find creative ways to help you find new donors and maximize your opportunities and 3. we’re fun to work with.
